Laura Salazar was born in 1971. She obtained a Bachelor Degree in Law and a Diploma in Business Administration from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE) in 1994. In addition , she obtained a Diploma in Advanced Studies in Law from the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (2003-2004).
She worked as a locum State Lawyer from 1999 to 2000, and she has been practising law since 2000.
She is the author of various publications.
